Behavioral Health Services
Wyandot Center is the designated community mental health center for Wyandotte County, providing comprehensive mental health and recovery services to adults. We take a person-centered approach to care, ensuring every client receives the support they need to thrive. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, substance use, or life transitions, our compassionate team is here to help.
We understand that taking the first step toward receiving mental health care can feel overwhelming. That’s why we’ve designed a straightforward process to connect you with quick, compassionate support that’s on your terms. Whether you’re reaching out for yourself or someone you care about, we’re here to guide you to the support you need.
1. Reach Out
Getting started is simple. You can call us, walk into our location at 1301 N 47th Street, or fill out an appointment request form online. Our friendly intake team will guide you through the initial steps and answer any questions you may have.
2. Get Assessed
Once you connect with us, a mental health professional will complete a comprehensive assessment. This conversation provides a better understanding of your mental health history, current challenges, and goals. We’ll work with you to identify the services and support that best match your needs, whether that includes therapy, psychiatric care, case management, or other community-based services.
3. Begin Your Care Plan
After your assessment, you’ll be connected with a specialized provider, so you can begin your personalized treatment plan. Your care plan is built around your preferences and goals and may include individual or group therapy, medication management, peer support, or other services that promote healing and stability.
Language Support
We are committed to providing inclusive, accessible care. Most of our services are offered in both English and Spanish, and we provide interpretation for a wide range of additional languages. No matter your background, we’ll work to ensure you feel heard, respected, and supported as you heal.
