In just a couple of weeks, Wyandot Behavioral Health Network will open its long-anticipated Downtown Wellness Center in Kansas City, Kansas. This space was created to strengthen access to care on the eastern side of Wyandotte County and to serve as a central resource for the people who live and work downtown.

This location is designed to be more than a clinic. It will function as a hub for emotional wellness — a place where individuals can seek support early, connect to resources, and build the skills needed to thrive. By bringing multiple services together in one welcoming setting, we can make care more accessible and easier to navigate.

Inside, individuals will find outpatient mental health care, substance use treatment, medication services, and housing supports. We are also proud to partner with The University of Kansas Health System, which will operate an addictions program in the building. Together, these services create a one-stop shop for mental health and substance use care, helping people access the treatments and support they need to continue their recovery journey.

We also wanted the building to reflect the community it serves. From intentionally designed artwork to a new community room, the diversity and collaborative spirit of Wyandotte County will be felt throughout the space. Our community room will be available to host health-related trainings, workshops, and events, giving downtown organizations and neighbors a place to come together around wellbeing, prevention, and connection.

At its core, this new location reflects Wyandot BHN’s commitment to accessibility, dignity, and whole-person care. We look forward to welcoming you inside very soon.
