"I had an extreme case of PTSD when I came here. I worked with a psychiatrist, a therapist and a case manager every week. I was too afraid to leave my home, lost all of my friends and completely shut down.... After a few years of working with this team, I found myself accomplishing more and more every day.

Contact UsYes, absolutely. Conversations with crisis counselors are confidential and protected under privacy laws. The only exception is if there’s a clear and immediate concern for your safety or the safety of others. In those cases, we take steps to ensure everyone remains safe. Otherwise, your information stays private and is only used to help you get the care you need.
Not at all. The 988 Lifeline is for anyone experiencing emotional distress, overwhelming stress, suicidal thoughts, substance use struggles, or other mental health concerns, whether you have a diagnosed condition or not. You don’t need a diagnosis or any prior experience with mental health services to call. If you’re hurting or unsure where to turn, we’re here for you.
Only in very rare situations. Our goal is to provide care—not punishment. Most calls are resolved without any law enforcement involvement. If an in-person response is needed, we prioritize sending our mobile crisis response team, which includes mental health professionals who are trained to de-escalate with compassion. Police are only involved when there’s an immediate risk to someone’s life or safety and there is no other safe alternative.
