Important Updates Regarding Wyandot BHN and COVID-19

Effective June 8, 2020

The Unified Government has announced that Wyandotte County is now in “Phase 3” of its reopening plan. This move to a less restrictive phase will mean that Wyandot BHN will begin to resume most of our office and community-based services, but with some modifications to promote the safety of clients and staff.

Clients visiting any Wyandot BHN location will be asked screening questions prior to their appointment. Clients will also be asked to wear a mask during their appointment. A mask can be provided if a client does not already have one.

During Phase 3, telehealth will continue to be an option, as long as it is approved by the Kansas Department of Health & Environment. Clients can work with their providers to decide whether services will be provided face-to-face or via telehealth.

As we resume office-based and community-based services, please know that Wyandot BHN will be taking extra steps to protect the people we serve, as well as our staff. Staff members will be wearing masks and offices and other common areas will be disinfected frequently. Appointments will be staggered and waiting areas will be configured to allow for social distancing.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this situation together.
